Why oh why?
Mar. 15th, 2009 08:58 pmI cannot seem to keep up to date on television shows. I'm mostly thinking of BSG here. I am now 3.5 weeks behind, and the finale (FINALE~!) is on Friday. I better get watching. But not tonight. It sounds like too much of a chore.
Sigh.
And yes, I am aware that the majority of problems I have in life are very trivial.

I kind of wish the writers wouldn't try to cramall of the exposition into one episode. It can be interspersed with action, you know.
Still, I very much enjoyed the episode and am very glad to finally get some answers. There are, of course, still plenty of answers left to be answered, and there are still some plotholes to fill. I can't believe we're almost to the end. Arrgh!~ I can't wait.
Also, I love the Chief so damn much. <3
I missed Helo. MOAR HELO!

Well, that was intense
Jan. 30th, 2009 10:06 pmI was literally shaking during the entire episode of this episode of BSG, it was so tense. I have so many thoughts on this episode that I know I'm gonna need some more time to collect them and get them into some semblance of order. I also probably need to rewatch the episode.
My favorite part though? Bad ass Kara. I dig her so much when she's being her awesome self.

The great Galactica rewatch of '09
Jan. 27th, 2009 11:27 amI'm starting the series over from the very beginning. Hopefully I'll be able to make it all the way through before the finale in however many weeks.
I'm currently watching the miniseries, and everyone is so fresh-faced and young! Either everyone one is really good actors, they have good make-up people, or working on the show is really damn stressful because compared to this, they all look so beat-down now.
Lee was still hot, Kara was adorable, Laura's hair was fantastic, Cally had her awful bangs, Gaeta wasn't all greasy looking, Chief wasn't so rotund, Tigh had both eyes, Admiral Adama was still Commander Adama, and Helo was just as hot and dreamy as ever.
Also, Billy!
I miss Billy! and Dee! They were so cute.

( Spoilers within )
I cannot, absolutely cannot, wait for the rest of this season. It's dark and stomach turning, and I have faith that we are going to get a resolution to all the question that (at least) sort of makes sense.

A fun meme!

Emmy nominations
Jul. 17th, 2008 10:13 amYou know, I really don't know why, but I really thought that I'd be happy with this year's nominations. I was so wrong though. No Mary McDonnell for Outstanding Lead Actress, which is bullshit. She's so fantastic in that role. Still, it's a Sci Fi series (that isn't Lost), so I knew it was a long shot. But why oh why was Friday Night LIghts completely ignored AGAIN!? Specifically, the amazing work of Connie Britton. She should have won that Emmy last year (and the show should have won the Emmy too--it truly was the perfect season of television), but not even a nomination? It's so hard to take these seriously when clearly it's just the same old standbys that keep getting all the recognition.
I am happy for Lee Pace and Kristin Chenoweth for their noms (Pushing Daisies as a series should have gotten a nom too...), and go 30 Rock--I have the feeling that they're gonna do a pretty clean sweep this year. And you know, it was a damn funny show this past season, so they deserve it.
I'm still upset though.

BSG season 4 episode 1
Apr. 5th, 2008 07:37 pmI'm not the biggest fan of the music on the show anyway, but please, please. Enough with the goddamn sitar.
The rest was pretty okay. Questions were raised (who the hell is the final cylon?) and hopefully answers come before too damn long.
I'd like more dogfights in space, more Helo, more Roslin/Adama, more Helo/Starbuck friendship banter, and less Baltar, less Anders-angst, and less Starbuck confusion.
That's about all.
Now into time and space with the Doctor and Donna Noble! Huzzah!

The Tudors: Season 2, Episode 1
Mar. 31st, 2008 06:38 pmOMG! I've only just made it through the "Previously on the Tudors..." (which I think would have been awesome to have said, "Previously in English history...) and the newly revamped opening credits, and I am already so retardedly excited for this new season! Peter O'Toole is listed as a special guest star! The Duke of Suffolk is still super sexy, even though he's no longer sporting the sexy, close cropped hair style that I love on a guy. There were quick flashes of nudity and soft-core porn sex scenes! There was only one negative: the opening credits have cut out my boy, Callum Blue. But still, there was much man-prettiness to behold.
This is a good time for Teresa in regards to television. The new season of the Tudors that just began, and then BSG on Friday (hopefully I can get through the rest of season 3 and Razor by then), as well as the Torchwood finale! And as if it couldn't get any better-- DOCTOR WHO SERIES FOUR BEGINS ON SATURDAY!
I may die from all the great TV to watch. At the very least, I suspect will become quite the recluse.
ETA: I also forgot--I still have last night's Wrestlemania to get through. I'm gonna be a busy girl. Sometimes my life is so difficult.

Mar. 30th, 2008 03:42 amI just wanted to show off my new icon I found featuring my new fake boyfriend, Karl "Helo" Agathon. He's a tall sexy drink of water.
Well, the BSG watching must commence. I am on episode 3 of season 3. It's getting kind of difficult to watch for me because there's always so frakkin' much tension in the show. Anyone could get shot, or stabbed, or blown up with a nuke, or commit genocide at any moment! And you know what the show needs? MOAR Helo.
