So, I can't decide if she's legit crazy, if she's on drugs, or if she's just working us all. This video just makes it all more confusing. I think (hope) that it's Lady Gaga working us all. That would just be awesome.

Listening to Jimi Hendrix's version of Hoochie Coochie Man is the nearest thing to an euphoric experience that I've ever had.

Uh oh

I think I really like Lady Gaga.

Her music makes me want to run.

I hate running.

I am so confused.

1. Put your music player on shuffle
2. The first lines of twenty songs = a poem; the first line of the twenty-first song is the title

Now Look at What You've Just Done to Me

We skipped the light fandango
You know how us Catholic girls can be
The summer days are gone too soon
Some chickens crossed the road straying far from the hen

Maybe one breath away
In the blue of evening when you appear close to me, dear one
If you search for tenderness
Oh Lord, won't you listen to me now

For all those times you stood by me
It's been a long time
Is this a dream?
Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC

You're in my arms
I hurt myself today
I'm sorry the I left you
What a dream I had

Somebody told me
stop loving me a little at a time
Some people stay far away from the door
Love is a burning thing

It's certainly no worse than any poem I could actually write on my own.

I'm not a huge fan of indie music. It's not that I don't like it; I simply don't follow it. I also am a fan of piracy *ahem* but don't feel comfortable pirating indie music where I'd be hurting the artist way more than a person with a major record deal. These folks on the Juno soundtrack need my money much more than Justin Timberlake.

Enough waxing poetic about the evils of the recording industry and let's focus on the soundtrack, eh?

These songs make me so happy. The songs have a very optimistic feel, which is important to me. I don't particularly like depressing music. I recognize that Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and any other band known for being kind of a downer make good music. Hell, they make great music. I  just don't need any musical help to get bummed out.  When I am bummed out, which isn't that often (finally I can say this in my life! very exciting), I can listen to some bummer music. On the whole though, I love happy music. And this soundtrack fits the bill. The movie made me happy. The music makes me happy.

Also: there is something magical about a simple guitar and a unique voice. Plain and simple.

Are they performing songs on their reunion tour from their album, "Forever?" You know, the one they recorded after Geri ditched 'em?
