Dilemma!

Tonight, do I scour the internet in search of stream for WEC 41, OR do I plop in front of the TV and watch Neil Patrick Harris host the Tony Awards?

I am very seriously conflicted about this. On the one hand: Urijah Faber vs. Mike Brown!

On the other: NPH!!

But... Violence!

And yet... Singing! and Dancing!

I'm pretty sure that I just might be one of the few individuals conflicted by this choice tonight.

Congrats!

I'm actually very happy for Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson. They just had twin boys.

A long time ago, Tito used to be my fake fighter boyfriend, so I really hated that he (fake)dumped me for a porn star. GSP and I, though, are now in a very (fake) happy place, and I am very glad for Tito and Jenna. I was scared that there was no way she'd be able to carry the babies to term.

So yay. Happy news! I hope they give 'em semi-normal names.

I am a really big MMA fan. I like watching fights. I LOVE watching entertaining and exciting fights, but a lot of the times, I don't really enjoy watching my #1 fake boyfriend fight. I think it's because I want him to win so badly and am so afraid of him losing, that I mostly just watch and hope that he doesn't lose. I mean, yes, I hope that he wins in a spectacular fashion, but GSP vs. Matt Serra 1 nearly gave me a heart attack. It's no fun watching someone you're (perhapps too) emotionally invested in lose.

So last night, Spike reaired GSP vs. Matt Serra 2: The Reckoning. GSP did, in fact, win this fight in a spectacular manner. I did not, however, remember how fucking awesome it was. Being able to sit back, relax, and bask in the glory of the violence without the fear of GSP losing really allowed me to enjoy in an entirely different way. Every take down, knee to the abdomen, and elbow to the face seemed so much more spectacular and memorable.

So yeah, sometimes I do better watching fights when I already know the outcome.

This upcoming battle is perhaps the biggest ever in mma, yet I feel remarkably unexcited for it. I think this is because... I honestly don't know who is going to win, AND I don't even know who I want to win.

Who do you choose to win: Captain America or the Hulk?

From the ever wonderful, albeit harbinger of bad news, Dave Meltzer:

Former UFC champion found dead

By Dave Meltzer

Former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner was found found dead earlier today in the Palo Verde mountain area, 60 miles northeast of Brawley, CA. He was 37.

Tanner had been missing since Friday. Tanner wrote on his web site, "I plan on going so deep into the desert than any failure of my equipment could cost me my life."

According to a report on Sherdog.com, Deana Epperson, who grew up across the street from Tanner in Amarillo, said he had texted friends on Thursday night saying he had run out of water as well as gas for his motorcycle.

Area police had been trying to find him since that time and found a body today who was identified as that of Tanner..

Tanner was a self-styled drifter who would fight to make a few bucks for most of his career. A high school wrestling state champion in Texas, he got talked into entering the Amarillo-based USWF by some friends. In the local pro wrestling oriented shoot group run by former UWF wrestler Steve Nelson, he quickly became its biggest star. He then started fighting in Japan with Pancrase, and his career highlight was in 2005 when he beat David Terrell to become UFC middleweight champion, but lost the title to Rich Franklin. His last fight was on 6/21 where he lost to Kendall Grove.

He was such an awesome, wacky MMA guy. He was fun to watch and fun to listen to as well. The world is a less-awesome place now that it is Evan Tannerless

And Fedor destroys Big Tim in 36 seconds.

I'm both excited and scared to see the eventual Fedor vs. Randy Couture fight.

Randy and I haven't on the greatest terms ever since he betrayed me and my fake boyfriend Bad Ass Chubby Dana White, but I still don't want him to be destroyed by that scary Russian MoFo.

I LOVE YOU GEORGES!

Chuck... you looked okay. I think you could hit the treadmill.

Number 5 was a tough decision but I'm pretty satisfied, nonetheless.

AHAHAHAHA! Both Sean Sherk and Hermes Franca failed their steroid tests from UFC 73. Fucking morons. AHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously. Say bye bye to that title, you boring ass mother fucker Sherk. See you in 2008 when you'll be allowed to fight again. Idiot.

Oh noez!

My power cord on my computer is shot. I don't often have a lot of ill will towards Apple designs, but they sucked a cock on their design for the power connector on their G4 laptops. Too easy to trip over it or rip it and wrap it up odd. So basically, I have one on its way. It's somewhere between Cold Ones and Oakland, California. It's supposed to be here on Wednesday. I'm hoping sooner, as I am hopelessly addicted to the internet and I have approximately 59 minutes remaining on my battery. WOE!

Evan's wedding is tomorrow. That's fucked up.

So is Brock Lesnar's MMA debut. I hope he does well.

Also, I've begun fake tanning and I can't tell if I'm orange or not. I don't think so. Hmm. Guess we'll find out eventually.
